low noise barrier

The modular elements of the low noise barrier are used to reduce noise from tram tracks. The individual modular elements of the low noise barrier are laid on a 4/8 gravel bed as tightly as possible within the passage cross-section in accordance with applicable standards.

A test section of the low noise barrier was implemented in September 2020 in Ostrava at the Moravská stop, covering a 70 m length of tram track. Preliminary noise measurements showed a noise reduction of 6 dB.

Variant L

The basic L-shaped concrete elements are covered with an absorbent layer of recycled rubber facing the track. The screen is greened with Demmer rock cress from the tram track towards the residential buildings so that it blends in with the surroundings and does not disturb with its concrete appearance.

Variant T

The T-shaped LNB is assembled from three prefabricated elements that together form an inverted T. The self-supporting absorbent panel made of recycled rubber is mounted in concrete L-profiles and mechanically connected with stainless steel elements. The rear side is greened with Alpine rock cress facing the residential buildings.
